For more than 10 years, we have been fighting tirelessly against diabetes and high blood
pressure. Stroke and diabetes are two big killers in Haiti. They are respectively the second and sixth
causes of death in the general population (CDC, 2019; World Bank, 2018). For more than a
decade now, the Clinique d’Urgence ACCES-Santé has embarked on an ongoing fight against these devastating diseases through health education, screening and improving access to essential care and services.
